Second Week Submission

This area of photography is not my strongest area, but I did what I could.  I am including some other versions that did not make the final cut but still have a nice effect.  I was trying to go for that old black and white with a hint of technicolour mobster Casino look.  I hope it works.

A group of friends of mine like to challenge each other with a photo contest every now and then.  We call it the "one a week" contest.  This weeks theme is fashion, I hope I made the grade!

My First Entry

This is Jon.  He is my boyfriend, not bad eh?

This shot I used my fix 50mm lens with a very shallow focal depth,  2.8 aperture setting.  With this effect I was able to have the bridge of the nose and his eyes in focus but the top and bottom of his face out of focus.
